This morning at 11:30 room 3 went on a walk to Waitohu stream.
First Matua told us to go sit down on the tables under neath the oak trees.Then he told us some safety rules and spit us into 4 diffrient groups beacuse there was 4 caregivers.
after all the pep talk we started our journey we went out the back gate we were walking on state highway 1 so we had to stay as colse to the fence as we could it was really fun groups 1 (the group i was in) our garegiver was rutger (fergus dad).
Bronwyn had this bamboo stick with a highvis vest atached to it and whenever we were crossing she put it out.
after we crossed up ahed there was this tiny tiny TINY side walk it was so tiny that we had to go in a single file line it was very scary beacuse there was cars zomming past us and going very very fast when we reached the house thingy we had to jump a fence i felt like a baddie (as always)
then we had to walk over this barb wire that was fallen all over on the floor. We walked past a broken house and Matua said if you hear noises there not creapy just say hi.
Then we walked up a big hill and on the side the was big holes then when we reached the top matua had a little talk (again ) and he said that on top of the hill is a cemntary and that one day we will go up that but at the moment we are focasing on the river.
He also said that there will be bones up there (woooo scary).
then we went zoooming down a hill me and kaylah wor’nt just in case we sliped.then we ended up in a cow paddock but dont worry there was no cows in it sadly we had to doge all of this cow poo.
then we had to go down another hill but the hill was made by rockes and there was slips over slips over slips.then we made it to the river(yay) there was all these long random grass pesis.
then i moved a little rock and there was a centapide thing underneath there was 2 mini water falls matua said one day we can go for a swim in the river and we all jumped up and yelled YAYY it was very nice then we went back to school and it was a nice day for it to
